Well it's a day time blog so that can mean only one result of the interview I should have been in today...I am not a gambler it would seem and subsequently didn't spend the £70 train fee to go down to the recruitment agency job interview.
Avoiding job opportunities even though I am longing to work? No
But I have to be honest to myself in assessing the situation. I was up against 16 people for the vacancy and I think that I would be far down the pecking order given that they are willing to offer a £35k salary to someone to fill the role.
And then theres the fact I despise agencies.
But all is not lost. For the job interview that was to be next week has been brought forward to tomorrow at 4pm - a lovely time that helps me sneak down south without being bullied by the train companies for a princely sum of £38. What a difference a day makes eh?
The company looks pretty funky, they have a very impressive client list and they seemed to love my sarcastic cover letter that I wrote for them - so I am once again, quite dangerously maybe? going into the interview confident and expecting of a good result.
I am pretty astounded that of the numerous apps I sent last week I only received 4 respondents worth any note. I can see for myself how crazy the job market is today - Miss Sixty going into administration and M&S reporting losses really shows that the worst is still yet to come, but that doesn't help the fact that I need a job and my CV will continue to the employers slag until it succeeds in getting me a job.

Good luck! Go for it! Sx
