It is about time I updated everyone on the situation. I haven't been employed yet - just temporarily...as a white van man...for this week only...

I have to say I do not enjoy it - unlike many people, driving does not excite me - in fact it has the opposite kind of effect and tends to tire my eyes out extremely easy. Travelling backwards and forwards across my region really does not stimulate my mind and to top it all off - whilst driving over the speed limit today to try and meet my appointment with the doctors - I'm 99.9% sure a speed trap was smiling right back at me...JUST BRILLIANT!

In an off topic kind of blog to normal - since I have really struggled to find time to search for proper career vacancies given the random hours of work (I literally walked through the house door about 1 hour ago today) - I was racing to the doctors regarding my back. Now apologies goes out to my lovely girlfriend, for a while back I woke up terribly cranky at her house moaning about my back and her mattress being the cause; causing a chain reaction where she then goes and buys a new one. Problem solved? Nope. All week I have woke up in agony, hardly able to move because of a lower back pain - which fades after about 20 minutes of being up and moving about. The doctor was puzzled...so not only did I probably get a ticket, but I didn't get any real help other than to take ibuprofen on a two week long cycle...

I have to admit that since working this week temporary, I have kind of realised how hard it is to get home and settled into finding job vacancies. I am not saying it is impossible, but I find I have little energy at the moment or motivation to seek as well as when I am not in work - I know I could do, but then it seems that work consumes my whole day and all I do is eat and sleep.

My hatred for recruitment consultants continues - despite my opinions I received a voice mail on my mobile and decided to call the Nottingham based agency back regarding a marketing vacancy (which I later decided I would not be interested in the job having researched the organisation), but I left my details with the gentlemans secretary...he never called me back!
